Description

Heart disease is the primary cause of death in the world, and one of the most common causes of physical disability, costing billions of dollars annually, not to mention the social pressure resulting from an individual from one’s family getting sick.

The “Healthy Hearts” course will address, in its first week, healthy lifestyles for the prevention of heart disease. We will talk in detail and in a simplified manner about proper nutrition based on global studies, healthy exercise, and the reasons for blockages of the coronary arteries. Then we will discuss in subsequent weeks artery disease, sudden death, diseases resulting from a defect in the electrical impulses of the heart such as irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia), cardiomyopathy and heart failure, and diseases of the valves. We will also discuss the latest methods of treatment known globally. In this course we will talk with specialists from the most famous world-class universities, so they can provide us with their expertise on the latest findings of knowledge in this field.

The first part of the “Healthy Hearts” course does not require a medical background, and has been prepared in a simplified manner for a period of four weeks, to introduce you to the various risks of heart disease, prevention, treatment methods and how to avoid resulting problems such as sudden death and heart failure.
